bad blog user, bad bad bad

i have been so busy with the garden, the knitting, the spinning(yes i said spinning) that i almost never get on the web any more. I am home today no farmers market, and the sun is shining so i want to take som pics. to put on here. So more later.

Yeaterday i got my package in the mail. Oh the excitment, oh the beautiful socks.

They are from Krista http://www.monocromaticgirl.com/ , Gentleman’s Fancy Socks, In Lorna’s Laces Shepherd sock, the Blackwatch colorway. The fit is perfect and the colors lovely. I have never used Lorna’s Laces before I really like the softness. There was yummy chocolate and a great card. Thank you Krista.

And yes wool is most appriciated we live in the high mountain dessert, and winter nights are cold.

Oh i am not a loozer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooray!!!!!!!! I heard from socp pal last evening and she said my socks are in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said she had started a new job and was just a bit behind. i asked her to forgive me for being a whiner, and i ask all of you to also.

Am i a loozer?

i have this feeling i am a loozer, i have never heard from my sock pal and have not as yet recived any socks :-(

But on a better not my pal recived her sock and they fit and she liks them :-)you can read it here

I reall liked this pattern and thought the striping in the yarn looked well in it.

Well a lot of knitting has been going on here.
Birthday socks for both of the youngers.
Socks for me and the sweater for wild man is underway.

NO one reads my blog. But that is okay i guess it can just be a record of my knitting.

Okay so i have this new blog and it is a lonely blog so i want to see if any one reads it, soooooo i am going to have a contest!!!!!

Wonderful pattern as always. Jean has the best patterns. These are in Revontuli wool from Finland. Green and Cream over dyed by me. Done on US0 for my SIL.

next up we have sockapalooza socks started, again on Revontli wool dyed by me ;-). I am doing these on size US0 also and love the way this pattern is coming out. Hope my pal likes them too!!

i cannot come up with a witty tital today! oh well i guess the flu bug got me i am really not feeling well.
i have been looking over the MMMMMAAANNNYYYY blogs on the sockapalooza list and there is some beautiful stuff being knit out there.
I have not been able to contact my pal as of yet her URL does not work and her email is bouncing back to me :-(! i am really bummed about that, but i do have her info and have been looking at patterns and the baudelaire pattern just keeps yelling at me. now to find the perfect yarn.

I have almost finished another pair of socks for wildman. and am on the cuffs(toe up) of a pair for bigfoot (ds size 17)
I am looking at some yummy green yarn for a pair for me or maybe lavender, hummmm we will have to see.

well the couch is calling my name.

sockapalooza4

I am so excited sockapalooza4 is getting started and i can wait to get my pal and start knitting!!!!!!!

maybe I am not really cut out for this blog thing. I have a hard time even getting signed into blogger, and by the time I do I am out of the time I have alloted myself to be on the computer.
Anyway i really started this to be a log of my knitting so i guess i can do that.
On the needles
1 pair socks for my giant foot (size 17) son
1 pair for my hubby (size 12)
3 pair for me in verious stages
1 sweater for me ~~Sonnet from knitty~~ love this

We are in the middle of kidding season, have 11 babies on the ground right now. 2 we will keep, 6 will be sold this weekend and the other 3 where born last night.

new to this

Well i am new to this and am a wee bit excited and a huge bit freeked out that i am doing this but ohhhhh well.
I live in the southwest and we have 6 inches of snow right now in this high mountian desert.
I have knit all my live, well sence i was about 7, and it is still my passion. I cannot afford all the fancy yarns so i just knit with what i can get. I am able to buy wool from a trading post here so i do most knitting with wool.
We raise goats and chickens and love our live.
Now i am off to figure this all out.
